The men's fashion model died after fainting on the runway at Brazil's Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
Tales Soares, 26, who is artistically known as Cotta Tales, was walking on the runway on Saturday when he suddenly tripped and fell when he was leaving.
The fall of the catwalk was recorded in the video of the event.
Soares received help after falling and was taken to a hospital where he later died, organizers of fashion week said in a statement posted on Twitter.
The committee added, "We apologize for this loss and give our sincere apologies to the Tales family."
The cause of Soares's death is unknown.
His management company, Manajemen Pangkalan, remembers Soares having "exemplary behavior."
In an Instagram post, Base said that the model had never been, or complained about health problems and was a vegetarian who had a healthy diet.
The company said that Soares would "always be in our hearts and memories."
